Practices
Practices begin July 15.
Practices are located at our home field near W. 5th Street Park in Lansdale. As the weather cools, practice space will be arranged and communicated to each squad. Throughout the season, if the fields are unusable, an alternate location may be announced.
Practices July-August are Monday through Thursday, 6pm-8pm. After Labor Day, practices are reduced to two days a week, Tuesday, and Thursday, though this could change based on space availability.
Practices are not optional!! A player may be subject to adjusted playing time for missing practices. This is for player safety!
Mandatory Conditioning
Pop Warner rules state that each participant must have 20 hours of mandatory conditioning. July 15th is the start of the mandatory conditioning time period. Please try to plan family vacations around this time, as any conditioning hours missed will need to be made up.
Season
Cannoneers Cheer is a sideline cheerleading program and therefore all cheerleading squads will cheer on their respective football team during all regular and post season games. The regular season runs from July 15 through late October, with games being held typically on Saturdays beginning at the beginning of September. Games will be played either at our home field, 5th Street Park, or at our opponent’s field. The game schedule will be available in late August, prior to the start of the regular season.
In addition, all competitive cheerleading squads will compete at Bux-Mont in early October. If qualified, the team will move on to the Northeast Regional Pop Warner Cheer & Dance Competition at the end of October or early November. If a cheerleading squad advances past the Northeast Region Pop Warner Cheer & Dance Competition, they will have the opportunity to compete at the National Pop Warner Cheer & Dance Competition held in Charlotte, NC typically during the first week of December.
Rules and Expectations
All Cannoneer rules and expectations will be available before the start of the season.
